 | I have been involved in the AIDS campaign and activism since my college years in Zimbabwe. As the principal director of the College Theatre Company I wrote numerous works and performed around the country in an effort to raise awareness on issues of the disadvantaged, the poor, and those affected by HIV/AIDS.
Based in Maryland, USA, I have been working to bring an understanding on African issues, by volunteering time and efforts to educate people of all backgrounds and creeds to better understand African Society. As a television producer I am working at making films and documentaries that highlight the issues of Zimbabwe employing electronic media to voice the concerns of the silent voices of Southern Africa.
I want to do as much as I can to make a difference in the lives of men, women, and children affected by HIV/AIDS. Even though there has been a lot of publicity about drug treatments, which are prolonging some people's lives, they don't work for everyone, there is still no cure in sight and they are not affordable to the poor. Moreover, young people are still getting infected at alarmingly high rates.
It's clear that we need more services and more prevention programs than ever before.

What has happened we have no words to explain, Many homes have completely closed their doors, families have perished. We have never seen anything like this, maybe this is the end of the world. For how can the next generation be, you need adults to show the young ones the way, to care for them. We are too old to do this, we need someone to take care of us but here we are, expected to raise the next generation its very sad.
The past 5 years have been unbearable, the drought made things more difficult. There is nothing to eat most people are surviving from anything that is green including leaves from the bushes. We are like animals the lucky ones are those who have a son or daughter who is in the Diaspora, aah!! then you get to eat.
HIV/AIDS epidemic rages, grandmothers across the nation
